Hide loyalties
Most players are Exiles; a smaller Joker faction knows its allies and may secretly alter the scroll powers in play.

Offer a sacrifice
The Sacrificer plays a character card face down or passes. A player may spend a metal feather to propose revealing and resolving a hidden scroll.

Vote the altar
Players discuss, then vote to send the sacrifice to Vita or Mors. Apparent and true classes may not be the same.
- 4
Start the ritual
Once an altar reaches its threshold, players may vote to end the game. Reveal loyalties and true classes: the party that starts a correct ritual wins; a failed ritual gives victory to its opponents.
